Melasma injection is a procedure in which a drug called tranexamic acid (Doransamine), which inhibits melanin pigment production, is injected directly under the skin where melasma is located. It shows melasma removal and whitening effects by inhibiting pigment production by blocking the activity of plasmin, which produces pigment. It also enhances the treatment effect by inhibiting melasma recurrence by making the dermis healthy through collagen regeneration in the skin.
